Windows 7 - How To Enable Telnet

In Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, telnet client/server need to be enabled manually and here are the steps to do that.

1. Click on "Start" > select "Control Panel".

2. Click on "Programs and Features".

 

3. Select "Turn Windows features on or off".

4. Scroll down the list and locate and check "Telnet Client" or "Telnet Server" as needed. Click "OK". 

Now telnet is ready to use in the system.
