Check Point - GAiA - R76 Provider-1/Multi-Domain Server (MDS) Installation

1. Boot the server using Check Point GAiA R76 installation disc. Click “OK” to proceed with the Check Point GAiA R76 installation.



2. Select keyboard language “US” and click “OK”.



3. Validate disk detail and click “OK”.

Note:
Disks has to be formatted using fdisk utility by pressing F8 during the server boot. This step has to be completed before starting R76 installation or else all the disks might not be displayed in this step.


 

4. Configure partitions size based on requirement. Click “OK” to format the partitions.

Note:
System-swap” and “Backup and upgrade” partition size would be auto calculated by the system based on the manually set value of “System-root” & “Logs” partitions and available unused space.



5. Select Management Port. Click “Recheck Link” to validate link status. Select the link which is UP and click “OK” to select port for system management.


 

6. Configure Management IP address, Netmask and a valid Default gateway. Click “OK”.



7. The installation takes quiet some time to complete so sit back and relax.

8. “Reboot” the system to complete the installation.



To complete the first time configuration of the system, login from console or connect using a browser to "https://<management-IP>".
